THE KIT STORY

Once a friend of mine asked me to embroider a print for her in silk ribbon. It was a watercolour printed on an old piece of cardboard. I wondered why she cherished it so much and she narrated me the following. Her great grandfather was an artist. He had a shop selling supplies for drawing along with some works of art. To make them cheaper, he printed them like that. To commemorate his memory, my friend wanted to stitch it, following my instructions. Though I was really busy at that time, it was impossible to refuse such a touching request.

Later on, having found that the artwork was by Catherine Klein and therefore was no longer entitled to copyright protection, I decided to make it into a kit. I gave the kit the name of my friend, since it was she who encouraged me to develop it.
