Bespoke embroidery for wedding dresses and gifts

Hi dear friends,

Here is one episode of my bespoke embroidery practice.

I was asked to stitch ribbon flowers for wedding dresses, which were then exhibited at the Wedding Fashion Show in London.

There were several different types of flowers all worked in pure silk ribbon, and those flowers had symbolic meaning of kind wishes to the newly weds. They were almond, cherry, plum blossom and peonies.

To test the techniques, a special design was developed. It is the Wedding Day design, now available in kit form in our ribbon embroidery kit collection.

The tender blossom all worked in bright white silk ribbon looks so delicate! No doubt, pure silk is the best means to create life-like dimensional flowers.

And the Wedding Day design is a nice framing for a memorial gift to newly weds - just place their names and the date of the wedding inside it.
