A country of flowers, fairy-tale cottages and... owls!
That is how we felt England this time.
"Trees, birds and clouds!.."
from a well-known Russian song
("The Autumn Melody")
give the main impression
of what we have seen there.
English cottages seem to be specially created for artful embroidery.
Splendid flower beds! Some blossom reminds me of my childhood: intricate foxgloves, elegant fuchsia, tender mallow.
Wonders of flower selection: some pansies and felicea.
And some more blossom I have never seen before! :)
And how many Variegated plants they have there in Yorkshire! How beautiful the landscapes look!
Yorkshire is also known for its farming:
Fresh breeze in the vast expanses of Yorkshire: the air is filled with splendid delicate aroma... Now, having put an end to business negotiations and meetings, we can devote all our leasure to travelling around the area!
What a pleasure: to strall without any definite purpose along lovely old streets of local towns, listern to bird singing, admire perfect view, seen from the top of Yorkshire hills. High blue sky shows its white sheep - clouds.
Victorian epoch showed its own style to some details in architecture.
Moreover, at the end of the XIXth century a Tower was built atop of one of the Huddersfield hills to commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Quin Victoria`s reign. And this is the panorama seen from the Tower.
Englishmen consider Owl to be a lucky symbol.
Our trip to Leeds, an Owl City: one can really see owls everywhere there.
Starting from a wooden coat of arms, cut in the railing of the Aire river bridge:
Moreover, you can come across an owl statue everywhere in the streets, spires and fances:
Manchester park showing its magnificence and history.
Our range of flower portraits got quite a lot of new samples!
Some of them, I suppose, will soon make beautiful printed pannels to fit our Ribbon Embroidery printed pannels collection ;)
...and see you soon in My Blog!
